17 October, Economics Club of the Free
Thought University gathered in their first
seminar. Guest of the seminar was CESD Chairman,
well-known economist Vugar Bayramov.

On 14 November, Economics club of the Free
Thought University held their another meeting.
The topic was about state investments and the
guest – CESD Board Member, prominent economist
Elchin Rashidov.

On 19 November, the guest of the Free Thought
University was well-known economist, CESD Board
Member and teacher Elchin Rashidov. He talked about
learning and reforms in Azerbaijani education.
Elchin Rashidov started his lecture with
philosophical foundations of learning and different
approaches to it. Students got acquainted with
various systems and methods of learning and
teaching, as well as their negative and positive
sides.
Then Azerbaijani education system was scrutinized
through the above-mentioned notions and both its
advantages and disadvantages were discussed. Special
attention was directed at revealing differences
between private and public universities in
Azerbaijan.
After exploring the Azerbaijani education system,
the participants discussed what reforms it needed. |

On 12th December, the Leadership Club at the Free
Thought University gathered at their first meeting
in a brand new format. The meeting dedicated to a
phenomenon of emotional intellect, was an
interactive seminar based on tests and exercises.
The guests of the Club were economist, CESD Board
Member Elchin Rashidov and the general manager of
GDG, Gulzar Guliyeva.
Why some are cleverer while others more successful
in their life? What helps to forge our character?
Are we controlling our emotions or it is our
emotions that rule us in our daily life and our life
as a whole?
The participants of the seminar held discussions
around these questions and they had a chance to
measure their emotional intellect and to exercise it
as well as to determine the emotional intellect of
