The representatives of Chinese Academy of School Sciences visited the Center for Economic and Social Development office.

The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), established in 1977, is the premier academic research organization in the fields of philosophy and social sciences of the People's Republic of China, described by Foreign Policy magazine as the top think tank in Asia. It is affiliated with the PRC's State Council.

CASS is an institution directly under the State Council and the highest academic research organization in the fields of philosophy and social sciences, is the national center for comprehensive studies in the Peoples Republic of China. CASS was established in May 1977. The present president is Professor Chen Kuiyuan. CASS consists of 32 research institutes, 3 research centers and a graduate school.

The chairman of CESD, Vugar Bayramov, and Sevinc Yusifova, Foreign Relations manager, welcomed the guests and informed them about the activities and up-coming programs of Center for Economic and Social Development.

The presentation about the Center was given by Tim McNaught. He is a graduate of the University of Miami. Both sides mentioned that there is a great potential for the development of relations between the two organizations.  Members of the CASS expressed their willingness to cooperate with CESD in the next future.
